2026 Walk-a-Thon Volunteers

Walk-a-thon_LogoIt takes an army of volunteers to assure that the Walk-a-Thon runs smoothly.  We provide lunch for all volunteers that are able to help for more than one shift.  Please consider signing up for more than one shift if you are able.

 

*If you would like to walk with your student(s), please only sign up for their walk shift as an event photographer or at the registration table. The other volunteer slots will require the volunteer to remain outside of the soccer field for the duration of the shift.

Posters and Banners
Create posters and/or banners to publicize the event, build excitement, and highlight our sponsors. The majority of this work can be done at home.

Tents
We are in need of several tents to set up over tables at Walkathon. If you have a tent that we can borrow, please let us know by signing up here. Tents can be dropped off at the school on Sept 24th during school hours, Sept 25th at drop off, at a board or committee member's house, or we can arrange to pick it up.

Raffle Basket Donations
Own or know a Small or Local Business owner? Or want to donate a squishy to fill our MEGA SQUISHY raffle basket? We are seeking full basket donations, items to make baskets, gift certificates, etc. The raffle basket proceeds will go to raise money for playground upgrades and would love your support. Donated items must be delivered to the school by September 18th. Arrangements can also be made for pickup by contacting Jessica Gamet at mckee.walkathon@gmail.com. Apple donation pick-up
Pick up the apple donation from Janoski's and deliver to the school on September 24th, time to be arranged around your schedule that day. A larger vehicle will be needed for this task, as we have at least 500 apples donated.

Walk-a-Thon Volunteers - September 25, 2026
Set-Up
Help set-up tables, tents, banners, refreshment stations, spiritwear, hang shout outs, wash apples, etc. Light refreshments (such as bagels, donuts, coffee) will be provided.

Work at the Spirit Wear sales table during the event. This volunteer position involves handling money, keeping track of inventory sold, and using a point of pay system to accept credit cards. **PLEASE NOTE - You will not be able to walk with your student if you are signed up for this position during their walk time**

Registration Table
Help families check-in when they arrive and collect money. Take Down
