The PTA Volunteer Program is one of the best ways that parents can support the students and staff at our school.

Please review the brief descriptions of each volunteer area and indicate your preliminary interests. Your contact information will then be forwarded to the PTA board member or committee chair that is pulling together that activity and they will be in touch with you.

Assemblies

Birthday Books
Assist with distributing birthday books one morning every month; help restock books as needed. The birthday book schedule for 2026-27 is: September 16, October 14, November 18, December 16, January 13, February 17, March 17, April 14, and May 19 (subject to change if needed). Milk & Cookies Day - CO-CHAIR NEEDED
Held in November. Volunteers visit their child's calssroom to read stories while students enjoy a snack. Specific Classroom sign-up available at PTA Meet & Greet or by emailing milkandcookies@mckeepta.com and specifying what classroom you would like to volunteer in. Help with ideas for monthly/quarterly "treats" for our wonderful teachers and staff; Drop off paper products, baked goods, drinks, lunch items for various PTA events and teacher appreciation celebrations throughout the school year; assist with set-up/clean up. The Committee Head and Co-Chair positions can be mainly done from home; volunteers will need to be available during the school day as needed for each event/celebration. Help to plan this year's Dance, scheduled for March 13, 2027. Planning can be done mainly from home; decorating is done the night before and afternoon of the event.
